What we call electrical complete equipments of TYB type Pad mounted transformer is actually prefabricated transformer substation (also called American transformer substation, American box transformer substation), a combination of combined transformer, load break switch and protection fuse at high voltage power receiving part, load break switch and protection fuse at low voltage power receiving part, metering and switch at low voltage power distribution part.
We developed a new type of complete substation equipments on the basis of advanced technology at home and abroad. Because of its' small size, low investment, easy operation, fast mounting and simple maintenance, the American box transformer substation is widely used in power distribution system, power grid construction and renewal in urban and rural, such as industrial zone, residential area, business center, high buildings and other places where traditional power transformation equipments are not suitable.
American box transformer substation can be divided into two parts: transformer part and control cabinet part. Transformer part is wholly sealed, its insulating oil can be high ignition point type or normal type. Control cabinet part can be divided into high voltage part and low voltage part. The former has high voltage cable connector, lightning arrester, load break switch operation handle, switch handle, plug-in fuse, pressure release valve, temperature meter, pressure gauge, oil level gauge, oil filling plug, oil drain valve. Load break switch, tapping switch, plug-in fuse are immersed in the transformer oil with the transformer core. High voltage cable and transformer are connected by elbow type cable connector. Air circuit breaker, CT, current meter and voltage meter can be equipped in low voltage side. Output circuit and capacitance compensation device can be equipped upon request.

American box transformer substation uses S9 transformer, which has low loss, low temperature-rise, strong over-load ability, and ensures electrical safety.
Its' performance is 11 type, and it has strong ability to anti sudden short circuit and excellent performance.
The power distribution cabinet in the American box is made of high quality steel, which has good anti-corrosion, and is free of rust for 30 years.
High-voltage part: wholly insulated high voltage incoming outgoing terminal and cable accessories, no bare electriferous parts in the high voltage chamber, safe and reliable operation, double fuse protection, plug-in type fuse with temperature and current protection, reserve fuse for transformer fault protection, complete operation inspection meters and instruments, such as pressure meter, pressure valve, oil level gauge, oil temperature meter.
Low voltage part: comprehensive parameter tester, fixed point voltage, current, active energy, reactive energy, temperature measurement, with user automatic meter reading device, automatically copy the electricity consumption of all the low voltage users of this transformer by carrier wave or wire, phase-loss protection equipped in the low voltage power distribution, can test phase-loss, shunt each user, prevent the harm resulted from non-full phase operation, fan equipped in the low voltage cabinet, automatically starts heat rejection according to temperature (start at 45℃, return at 40℃)
